There are various approaches to the system, but the step first would be learning the basics. This includes breathing techniques and secondary body movements. Once these two components are understood, they need to be put together. For example:

Once these two methods are learned, you can relax and delve deeper into the esoteric and spiritual world.
These beginner movements and forms will help cleanse the body, both psychologically and physically. You need to establish a clean vessel, free from all negativity and the negative influences of our civilization. This is a prerequisite to becoming an esoteric human being.
Approaching the monkey kung fu system:
After mastering the basics, including footwork and the salutation method, you can progress to the kung fu forms.
Begin by practicing the mother fist form, also known as San Jun. This form will provide an understanding of the proper mindset, as well as the correct execution of arm and hand techniques, and footwork. You will also learn about the different powers that need to be developed with your hands. Acrobatic or complicated movements are not necessary in this form.
